Resurrection is part of a cluster of churches in the OKC area called the “Holy COW” Cluster. Other churches included are Lord of Life in Edmond, Our Lord’s in OKC, St Paul’s in OKC and Trinity in OKC. We get together once every two months or so for food, fellowship, prayer and to talk about ways we can work together for worship, social events or community service.
What's it All About?
Come and get to know members from the other ELCA Lutheran congregations in the OKC area. All of the OKC area congregations are part of the Holy COW Cluster.
We begin by having brunch and then continue our meeting which includes:
Sing for Joy – Radio Program on KUCO (90.1) on Sundays at 8:30 AM
Our Cluster sponsors an excellent program out of St Olaf College in Northfield MN called “Sing for Joy” each Sunday morning from 8:30-9:00. It is an outreach and an opportunity to let people who enjoy music learn about the Lutheran congregations in the OKC area.
If you would like to sponsor a week or more, please let Pastor Mark know. The cost is approximately $35 per week.
Cluster Updates, Jan 2020
We had a great Bedlam Food Drive. Citywide, the Cowboys defeated the Sooners, and RLC finished in second place just behind Lord of Life in Edmond with the most donations. At RLC, the Cowboys defeated the Sooners. Who was the real winner? The local foodbanks which receive nearly a ton and a half of food. Our food went to Manna Pantry in Yukon.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday, November 26 at Lord of Life in Edmond. It would have been good to see more people from RLC there!
We are helping sponsor the Doane Choir as they sing at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church (7336 W Britton) in OKC on Friday, January 10 at 7pm.
Our next Cluster meeting will be on Saturday, January 25 at 10 AM at RLC. Bring yourself, a brunch item to share (if you are able) and a friend. You will meet some wonderful people from the other ELCA churches in the OKC area as we share fellowship, pray for and with each other and plan together ways we can do church together in the OKC area.
Keep in prayer:
--Our Lord’s Lutheran Church in OKC as they seek an Interim Pastor and as they begin the call process for a new Pastor.
--Pastor Dawn Enderwood and Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Edmond. Dawn just retired after 18 years there, and they will be starting the search for a new pastor.
--The Covenant Congregations (Ascension in Del City, Redeemer in OKC & St Mark in Midwest City) as they continue discussions about ways they can consolidate and do ministry together.

Holy Cow Cluster Update, Oct 2019
RLC is part of what is called the “Holy Cow Cluster”, which includes all of the ELCA Lutheran congregations in the OKC area. We come together for prayer, food and fellowship to plan ways we can support each other and work together. Some things we are doing together:
Cluster Thanksgiving Worship Service at Lord of Life in Edmond at 7 pm on Tuesday, November 26 - ELCA churches in the OKC Metro area have been invited to a Thanksgiving worship service on Tuesday, November 26, at 7 o’clock, hosted by Lord of Life. The offering is designated to the Homeless Alliance. Families are also asked to bring a pie. We will enjoy coffee and a pie social following worship. Extra
pies will be given to the Edmond Thanksgiving Dinner, which serves the Metro area. Tom Rider, member of Lord of Life and one of the dinner organizers says, “We can never have too many pies. All food that we don’t use is taken to the Jesus House.” Bring your family and friends for this service of Thanksgiving.
Lord of Life is located at 15400 N Western in Edmond.
