This program offers a great way for members of our congregation, of all ages, to get involved in one of the most important things we do to reach out to our community.
It takes a lot of people to organize and take care of all the things that go into this program. Please consider helping in some way to make this a success and bring the Christmas spirit to our community. One way everyone can help is to grab some Living Nativity flyers and give them to members of your family, your neighbors and friends. Angel Tree: We're Almost ThereAs of last Sunday, Nov 24, there were still three angels on the tree that have not been taken. If you are able, please grab and angel and buy some gifts. You can also go in on it with another family. Also, all gifts must be dropped off at the church by Dec 8 (unwrapped) with the Angel attached. If there is more than one gift, please bag together. Thank you for helping a family who may not have a Christmas otherwise. Thank you.
Another Great Way to Bless Children this Christmas: Santa's Toy ShopWe are collecting new, unwrapped gifts for newborn to 15 years old to help needy families this Christmas. We are collecting until December 6. Right now the box is empty. Let’s fill it up!
Our Next Cooking Class is on Dec 6 at 7pm: Please Sign Up by Dec 3Cinnamon Popcorn Class: On Friday Dec 6, 2024, Kim Ramsey will be teaching us how to make cinnamon popcorn. This class is for anyone in 5th grade or older. There is no cost for the class, but you do need to sign up in the Fellowship Hall so we are sure to have enough ingredients.
After the class we will watch a Christmas Movie and enjoy some popcorn. If youth are interested, we can lock in that night and go and see the Lights at Yukon Park. |

Sermon Series from Nov 17-Dec 22“Streams of Living Water”
Pastor Mark has been talking about how we get to know Jesus more fully by spending time with a more diverse group of his friends. Starting Nov 17, Pastor Mark will begin a sermon series based on Richard Foster’s book Streams of Living Water. We often argue which Christian groups are most faithfully representing Jesus in the world, often preferring our stream of Christianity and criticizing other streams. The fact of the matter is that all the streams reveal important aspects of Jesus. You don’t need to read the book to get a lot out of the series, but it is a well-written book which is well worth your time. Pastor Mark will be ordering books Nov 4 so they will be in by Nov 10. The cost will be about $10. Sun, Nov 17: “The Contemplative Stream – The Prayer-Filled Life” Sun, Nov 24: “The Holiness Stream – The Virtuous Life” Sun, Dec 1: “The Charismatic Stream – The Spirit-Empowered Life” Sun, Dec 8: “The Social Justice Stream – The Compassionate Life” Sun, Dec 15: “The Evangelical Stream – The Word-Centered Life” Sun, Dec 22: “The Incarnational Stream – The Sacramental Life” Three days later, we celebrate the birth of Jesus – A man of prayer, virtue, spirit-empowerment and compassion who was the Living Word of God, who was God incarnate in human flesh. CommUNITY Prayer: Something NewPastor Mark is working to establish times where people from different churches (or no church at all) can gather at various places during the week for a time of fellowship and prayer with the two simple rules:
