Czech Fest Booth for Our Cub Scout Troop and RLC, Oct 3, 8am-3pm

We will be with our Cub Scout Troop at booth 36 located on 4th st. by the Old Mill Plaza Parking Lot. Stop by and say hi. You are welcome to help work the booth at any time.

RLC is Hosting a Hotdog Picnic for Veterans, Oct 9, 11:30am-1:30pm

Hotdog Picnic for Veterans – Friday, October 9 from 11:30-1:30 at RLC – RLC is partnering with the Yukon Veterans Museum to provide a hotdog lunch for all veterans and their families from 11:30-1:30 on Friday, October 9. If you are a veteran, come and eat. We are providing the location, chairs and tables and will be preparing hot dogs. Let Pastor Mark know if you can help with set-up, cooking hotdogs, serving or cleanup.

The Pumpkins are Coming, October 9, 4pm

The Pumpkins will be here Friday Oct 9, at about 4pm.

-We will need help with putting out our pallets on Thur Oct 8.

-And we will need help unloading the pumpkins on Friday Oct 9, at 4pm.

-We will also need help working the Pumpkin Patch so we can sell the pumpkins.

A sign-up sheet is on the kiosk in the Fellowship Hall.  Thank you!!

We regret to announce that we have closed the program. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

College & Military Care Packages

Back to school time is here and we have many of our young adults in college or in the military.  Please help us to remind our young adults that even when they are away, they remain in our thoughts and prayers.  We are looking for donations to send in our 16 “care packages”

We are asking for donations of items to go into the boxes or for money to help buy the items and mail the boxes. Some of the things we are asking for are pocket-size hand sanitizer, pocket-size tissues, drink mixes, # 2 size mechanical pencils, ink pens (blue or black), notecards, snack items…along with hand-written notes of encouragement and prayers.  Thank you for your support.

Help Feed People Who Stop by Our Outside Blessing Box

Our Blessing Box continues to get heavy use. Our biggest need is packages of tuna, chicken and other protein. Two things we could use more of right now are granola bars and chewy granola bars.

Jennifer will share info about the 111 Project for a few minutes during worship and be available for question and answer after worship. The 111 Project does amazing work to help children and families in the community.

Wednesday Night Bible Study for October: The Gospel of Mark

Join us for dinner at 6:30 and Bible study starting at 7:00.

We are just beginning a journey through the Gospel of Mark using William Barclay’s Mark commentary as our learning resource. For those who want to go deeper, Pastor Mark sends out sections of the commentary with reflection questions 3-4 times each week. Let him know if you want to receive those emails. Come join us!

Bob Berger, Food for the Poor, Sun Nov, 15

Pastor Bob Berger from Food for the Poor has joined us a few times over the past several years to share with us what Food for the Poor is doing and how we can help them.

He will be joining us for worship and coffee hour on Sunday, Nov 15. Plan to join us for worship that day.

To save on hotel and car rental costs, he is wondering if anyone from the congregation would like to provide airport transport and/or host his stay on Saturday night, Nov 14. Let Pastor Mark know if you can help.

"Boundaries" Bible Study with Dr Paul

Dr. Paul is leading a Bible study called Boundaries, and it's every Sunday at 9:15am.

Sometimes the challenge of Christianity is to have the courage to say yes, but often the greatest spiritual discipline is to know when to say no. This study is based on the book Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Towsend.

Pastor Mark is Praying at the Yukon Chamber of Commerce 2x/month

Following God’s call to get into the community and connect people with God and each other, Pastor Mark will be doing community prayer in the Yukon Chamber of Commerce board room from noon-1:00 the first and third Monday of each month.

Come and join us as we pray for each other and the Yukon community.

Wednesday 4 Lokal

Each Wednesday, Pastor Mark (unless he is out of town or has another commitment) is going to the Lokal in Yukon from 4-5pm for a beer and to develop community. It is a great opportunity to talk and pray with others or just check in with the server to see how they are doing and if they would like prayer for anything. Come join him one of these Wednesdays.
