RLC Bible Study
We offer several options for bible study at RLC and scriptures are a central focus of our sermon messages. For more information on these studies, see our Bible Study Groups and Adult Sunday School Class.
Sundays in Advent 10:15am at Church or on Facebook Live (November 29-December 20) “Acts 29”
We have spent several months going through the book of Acts to see what it a community empowered and led by the Holy Spirit looks like. Between now and Christmas, we will be looking at what it would look like for us as individuals and as a church to be empowered and led by the Holy Spirit the same way as the early church in Acts. Each Sunday, Pastor Mark will be lifting up different aspects of what this might look like in your life and in our church.
Wednesdays in Advent at 7pm, “The Gift of Risk”
Wednesday nights in Advent at 7pm, Pastor Mark will be gathering with those who want to attend in person and will be streaming on Facebook Live to those unable to come in person. The theme for these Wednesdays will be “The Gift of Risk.”
We will focus on the risk God took to work through normal, everyday people to bring salvation to the world. We will look at the risk Mary and Joseph took to be faithful to God’s plans for their lives. Then, we will look at where God is calling us to take the risk of trusting what he wants to be doing in and through our lives.
January -- Easter 2021
“Journey and Journal through Mark”
Starting Sunday, January 10, we will begin a journey through the Gospel of Mark. You will be invited to read a section each day from January 10 up through Easter (April 4) and take time to journal your reflections, prayers and what you hear God saying to you through the reading for that day.
We have scripture journals with one page of scripture and a facing page of blank journal paper for you to use if you would like. We ask for a donation of $3 or more for the journals. You can pick them up at church or have Pastor Mark deliver them to you (in the OKC area).
Let us pray for you--or your family and friends.
We have a prayer box outside the church where you can drop off prayers.
