RLC Bible Study
We offer several options for bible study at RLC and scriptures are a central focus of our sermon messages. For more information on these studies, see our Bible Study Groups and Adult Sunday School Class.
New in 2016: Intentional Living
As a church we are beginning 2016 by focusing on our identity in Christ. During Lent, we will transition to the identity of Jesus – who he is and what he came to do for us. Once we have some clarity on who we are and who Jesus is, we will be ready to respond by spending the rest of the year focusing on (based on knowing who we are and who Jesus is) how we are to live.
Pilot Group to Review Program and Develop Strategy for Congregation-wide Launch
The plan is to have a pilot small group going through a book and program by John Maxwell entitled Intentional Living between now and Easter. Our group will be led by Katherine Dawson (who is an official trainer for John Maxwell) and will include Pastor Mark, Dr. Paul Francel, Nathan and Nicole Johns, Byrona Maule and CW West. We will meet Thursday nights to do the program as a small group and come up with a strategy to lead the whole congregation as we begin using the program after Easter.
So often it is only by being intentional in our actions that we end up actually doing something. This program is meant to inspire and equip us as individual church members and as a congregation to move beyond good intentions into intentionally living as God’s people for the sake of the world around us. By the end of the year we expect to have many testimonies of what God has done in and through us by being more intentional about the way we live our faith.
