Our Philosophy: Youth are not just the future of the church; they are an important part of the church today. Youth are active in all aspects of life at RLC: from worship, to leadership and volunteering, to living out their faith at home and school with family and friends. We have specific ministries for youth at different ages, but we also regularly have opportunities for cross-generational learning and serving. We believe youth have much to share about who God is and what it looks like to follow Christ.
RLC Sunday School Schedule
Sunday school classes are held at RLC each Sunday after the 10:15am service.
Pre-K and Kindergarten
Our teacher is Lori B. Each week, children listen to a Bible story, color a page that goes with that story and then do a craft or activity that goes with that story.
1st through 3rd Grade
Our teacher is Andrea Wildman. The curriculum she uses includes interactive Bible stories, activities and crafts to teach the Bible lesson. It also includes life applications to make it more understandable.
4th through 6th Grade
Our teachers are Joe Koptik and Teresa Butler. They are using the same curriculum as the 1st through third grade program, called All-in-one Sunday School. They use interactive Bible stories, activities and crafts to teach the youth the Bible Lesson, and use real-life applications with each lesson.
7th-9th Grade Confirmation Classes
Penny Budzien is our teacher. She uses a curriculum called Collaborate. It includes a hands-on investigative learning approach that leads to deep engagement with the Bible, faith, and what it means to be a Christian.
High School
Our adult leader is Peter Cox. Students are meeting on Sunday mornings at church.
