Our Quilts Make a Difference in People's Lives
Prayers & Squares Quilting Ministry

Do You Want to Change Someone’s Life? Join our Prayers & Squares Quilting Ministry.
If you sew, we have a job for you. If you can’t sew, we have a job for you. We need people to iron, put the knots in the quilts and other various jobs. If you have a portable sewing machine, please bring it. If not, just bring yourself and we will give you an opportunity to contribute. If you have never made a quilt and are worried that you don’t know enough to help, let us show you that you can. For more info, contact Jean Ross. The next meeting is Saturday, Jan 16, at 9:00am.
Prayer Quilts
Our talented quilters use their skills to sew one-of-a-kind lap quilts for people who are suffering in some way or need encouragement and hope. How it works: Members of RLC submit a simple prayer quilt request with pertinent information. The Quilt Ladies create the quilt and it is delivered to the congregation with information about the special need. Prayers are given at each of our services for the quilt's recipient, and then following the service, members tie a knot in the quilt and offer their personal prayers. Miracles have happened as a result of our quilts tied with prayers!
The quilts are hand delivered by the RLC member who requested the quilt, along with a card from the Quilt Ladies and lots of love and prayers. There is no cost to the member requesting the quilt or the person receiving the quilt.
Quilts for Our Graduates
Our Quilt Ladies make larger, customized quilts to present to each of our youth graduating from high school each year.
Fundraising Quilts
At other times, the Quilt Ladies make these cloth masterpieces to raffle for RLC fundraisers--in support of our youth programs and other special needs of the church. Each year, a quilt is also raffled to to raise money for quilting materials.
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 1 Timothy 2:1
